Aust Swim Accredited Swim teachers
We are inspired to offer you and your child the best in swim safety lessons across both our Green Point and Forresters Beach services.
All of our Swim Teachers are accredited Aust Swim teachers and are also early childhood qualified educators whom work in our Indigo classrooms. This unique combination allows us to foster deeper engagement and learning both in and out of the pool.
We have found children have been able to feel more comfortable and confident in their swimming lessons as they are with their peers and trusted educators- with a deeper level of learning being reached then in a typical once per week swimming class with unfamiliar children and teachers.
Families are often so busy these days that is is hard to make time for swimming lessons after school or on weekends.
Our Indigo Swim Program is run during our operating hours, meaning families do not need to attend. We also find this helps children to concentrate and really focus on their swimming.
All swim classes take place at FBI Swim and Gym in Forresters Beach.
Children attending our Indigo ElC Green Point servive are transported via our 12 seater Toyota Hiace commuter bus each week.
If children are travelling from our Forresters Beach service we simply walk children across via a joint alleyway between the pool and the service.
A minimum ratio of 1 educator to every 2 children is maintained at all times which often results in one educator out of the pool and one educator in the pool. Classes are usually kept to a minimum of 4 children.

Swimming lessons can be so hard to get to throughout the week with either having to sacrifice a Saturday morning or attemtping to do an evening class with tired kids. Indigo Swim program means we can tick the swimming lesson box without it eating into our valuable family time.
We have also found that our child has progressed quite quickly- we are assuming this is becuase they are more familiar with their swimming teacher (same teacher as their classroom teacher) and they are also familiar with the kids in their class. I also like that the swim classes are grouped with an awarenesss of kids friendships and group dynamics meaning less distraction and more time to concentrate on swimming- a win win.

Indigo Swim Program FAQ
- Swimming lessons are only offered to children already attending Indigo ELC Green Point or Indigo ELC Forresters Beach
- Children need to be aged 3 plus years to participate
- Swimming lessons are an additional cost of $17 per lesson on top of your regular daily fee
- We have a carefully designed Swim Program allowing children to move through levels as they progress.
- Swimming gets children moving- great for happy, healthy bodies.
- We are a First Lap provider- allowing families to get up to $100 worth of FREE swimming lessons with us as part of the First Lap Government initiative.
- All swimming teachers are fully qualified Swim Australia trained Swimming teachers as well as early childhood qualified educators and teachers- a winning combination.
- Children are never left alone at the pool or pool bathroom.
- Children are showered as a group in their swimmers after each swimming session- at Indigo ELC Forresters Beach to ensure Child Protection and safety is maintained at all times and children are comfortable.
- We provide hooded towels that we launder ourselves after each swimming session to assist families with packing and washing of swim items.
